How to find your domain’s DNS host

Who is this article for?

To make changes to your domain name, ie to point it to a website or configure it for email, you’ll need to know which company hosts your domain.

Find the DNS host

  • Go to https://who.is/ and type your domain into the search box.
  • In the search results, find the section labeled nameservers. This shows the location of your DNS host.

Find the hosting company

Often, the nameservers make it clear who your host is, but you can search Google with the Nameserver you’ve found.
